Our Vision

 

Founded by Daneita Blalock-Hudson and Jahlisa Murphy, we are dedicated to redefining the concept of traditional village support for prenatal and postpartum families, particularly within marginalized communities in Illinois, with a focus on Chicago and its surrounding areas. Our goal is to improve maternal health outcomes and provide comprehensive support to families during the transformative journey into parenthood.

The Motherhood Village retreat at Eaglewood Resort & Spa offers a unique opportunity for pregnant and postpartum moms to unwind, connect with other moms and gain valuable knowledge and support from experienced speakers and workshop hosts, fostering a sense of unity and empowerment within the Motherhood Village community.
